Manitoba is called the Keystone province, because just like the keystone (middle) of an arch, Manitoba is in the middle of Canada and North America.

The United States borders Manitoba on the south. Ontario borders the province on the east. On the western border is Saskatchewan. The Hudson Bay border the northeast corner of Manitoba. Nunavut borders Manitoba on the north.

The British flag is on the top left corner to show respect to Great Britain. Part of the Manitoba coat of arms is the bison on top of a rock. The coat of arms was granted to Manitoba by King Edward VII in 1905.
